- NASA/KSC has a requirement for Bdot and Pdot sensors in accordance with thespecification below:Free Field Bdot Sensor, Balun, and Passive Integrator Specs Aeq(m2) = 1.00E-02 FreqResponse >50MHz Risetime <4ns Output Connector TTC 100 Ohm Twinax Max Output Peak(equal or better than) 2kV Weatherproof Vendor shall provide a Balun and PassiveIntegrator Compatible with the sensor. The Balun shall convert the differential output ofthe sensor to single ended, which is the input of the integrator. The integrator shallhave be 50 Ohms with a 100s time constant. Design shall be such that responses from Efields are canceled and the sensors output signal results from only magnetic fields.Quantities needed: Radial 8 Axial 4Free Field Ddot Sensor and Balun Specs Aeq(m2) = 1.00E-02 Freq Response >50MHzRisetime <0.4ns Max Output Peak (equal or better than) 2kV Output Connector TTC 100Ohm Twinax Weatherproof Vendor shall provide a Balun compatible with the sensor.The Balunshall convert the differential output of the sensor to single ended, 50 Ohms.Quantities needed: 10Free Field Bdot Sensor, Balun, and Passive Integrator Specs Aeq(m2) = 1.00E-02 FreqResponse >12MHz Risetime <30ns Output Connector TTC 100 Ohm Twinax Max Output Peak(equal or better than) 2kV Weatherproof "Vendor shall provide a Balun and PassiveIntegrator Compatible with the sensor. The Balun shall convert the differential output ofthe sensor to single ended, which is the input of the integrator. The integrator shallhave be 50 Ohms with a 100s time constant. Design shall be such that responses from Efields are canceled and the sensors output signal results from only magnetic fields. Thissensor has to fit within an enclosure with dimensions 7"x3.5"x4". The dimensions do notinclude the output, which may extend as much as 12 inches.Quantities needed: Radial 6 Axial 3Ground Plane Ddot Sensor Specs Aeq(m2) = 1.00E-02 Freq Response >50MHz Risetime<0.4ns Max Output Peak (equal or better than) 2kV Output Connector 50 OhmsWeatherproofQuantities needed: 1 This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than August 5, 2008. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site forthe release of amendments (if any).
