Description: This solicitation is being extended until 7/08/2008 and may or may not be extended longer based on pending USDA FS Washington Office decision. Q- Please confirm that all equipment referenced in CLIN 003 is for direct purchase, only, not for installation under this solicitation, and that none of this equipment is included in work described elsewhere. A - The items in CLIN 003 are all Box Sales items and are not to be included in the installations. Q - Specify whether Pelco Mini Dome cameras listed in CLIN 003 are to be rated for indoor or outdoor use. A - Indoor Camclosure, Color High Resolution Q - Please specify the number of channels required for the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) listed in CLIN 003. A - Standard Chassis with Eight Video Channels Q - Ppg. C.2.1.2: Specify amount of on-board storage (if any) required on new 8-channel DVR specified for RMRS and for the new 32-channel DVR system specified for NRRC. A - On-board storage should minimum 500GB should be Lenel two (2) 16 Channel DVRs with 250GB each on-board storage minimum Q - Please provide floorplans or prints of the facilities in Missoula. Describe any physical connection that may exist between the buildings (eg: conduit with room, tunnels, etc.). A - Physical connections are unknown. Floor plans are enclosed. Q - Confirm the exact number of card readers now installed at RMRS (240 W. Prospect Ave. Ft. Collins, CO) that must be replaced/upgraded to meet new FIPS standard Reference the applicable FIPS standard or specify exact model of card reader that is required A - 10 readers must be replaced/upgraded at the Prospect location. iClass RP40 Model 6125BKN0007G30L. Q - Verify that no other card readers presently installed in any Ft. Collins sites are to be upgraded under this scope of work. A - No readers at any at any other Fort Collins sites will need to be upgraded under this scope of work Q - Provide details as to how the new hardware in Missoula is to be monitored by the GSA Megacenter. Specify who is responsible for providing, installing, and programming the alarm communication device(s). A - Contractor shall, As-Built Drawings (hardcopies and CADD) of location of devices at these locations. Contractor shall supply the information required on the attached form to the vendor to forward to the GSA MegaCenter concerning all installer and installation of devices. Q - Specify who will provide wire required for the system installation in Missoula. A - The Government will provide the cable requirements. Q - Are as-built drawings required for the installation in Missoula? A - Yes, enclosed. Q - Is the current Lenel Enterprise software presently covered by a Lenel software support agreement (SSA)? Please specify the number of concurrent workstations required under the new license how many of these are badging workstations, and how many camera licenses (total) are required on the total system? A - No There are 5 Clients and 1 server 1 23 Q - Do you desire to have the existing (stand-alone) Lenel database at NRRC migrated into the Enterprise system as part of this project? A - Yes Q - Who will be responsible for entering database information for the Missoula site? A - Government will be responsible for entering the information of badge holders. Contractor is responsible for entering all data associated with the installed devices and that all devices are operating appropriately and sync Q - Specify any training requirements. A - Manuals are required for DVRs and general training on the operations of the DVRs Q - Based on the requirement for clarification, the need for prints and a site survey in Missoula, we hereby request the bid date be extended until August 8, 2008 in order to allow sufficient time to prepare a comprehensive bid.
