- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Connecticut Healthcare System, 950 Campbell Avenue, West haven, CT 06516 seeks a qualified A/E firm that specializes in design and/or renovation of VA Healthcare facilities, specifically design of a Consolidated Specialty Care, required shall be complete bid documents including drawings and specifications, as well as construction management services for the Specialty Care Consolidation project at our Newington CT Campus located at 555 Willard Avenue, Newington, CT 06111. This project also includes renovation/preparation of related A/E work for swing space. This renovation project shall expand and consolidate the Specialty Care Clinics. Currently, the Specialty Care Clinics are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Buildings 1, 2C and 2E. Most of the clinics have space gaps. Also, most were located based on space available at the time the clinic was established, resulting in inefficiencies on work flow and patient flow. This project shall expand and/or relocate clinics to eliminate space gaps and improve inefficiencies. Total project scope of approximately 20,000 square feet of renovation. Firms must be located within a 200 mile radius of the Newington, CT campus, located at 555 Willard Avenue, Newington, CT 06111. Qualified firms must submit their completed SF330 to the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Connecticut Healthcare System, 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516, Attn: Jim Corbett.Firms must submit four copies of the SF330 (w/no photos). The SF330 can be found on the GSA forms website: HTTP://WWW.GSA.GOV. The VA will shortlist the firms utilizing the SF330 and interviews will be limited to no more than three (3) selected firms based upon the outcome of the scoring. A/E selection criteria will include (1) Professional qualification necessary for the performance of theb required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firms with similar type projects; (3) Past performance on contracts with government agencies; (4) Location of the A/E firms; (5) Experience and roles of the key design personnel specifically on related projects; (6) Cost control and estimateing effectiveness. This procurement is full and open using NAICS code 541310/size standard $4.5 millon. Thisnis not a request for proposal nor will a solicitation package or bidder/plan holder list be issued. Do not fax forms or e-mail forms, they will be rejected. Response to this notice is required no later than 8/12/2008 at noon est.
