- The United States Army Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) has a requirement for a Passive Transfer Study for the Department of Molecular Virology for Joint Science and Technology Chemical and Biological Defense Research Program. The North American Industry Classification System Code applicable to this work is 541380 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Project Plan is for Immunotherapeutic for Orthopoxvirus: characterization of human monoclonal antibodies to vaccinia virus-specific human monoclonal antibodies to protect against infection. This requirement is a follow on work to an existing award in support of USAMRIIDs mission to repeat the passive transfer study in a manner identical to that which was outlined in the existing contract to insure scientific consistency as it pertains to challenge strain, facilities and technical integrity. The proposed work was intended for Southern Research Institute 200 9th Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama 35205. The work would be accomplished by the Frederick located at 431 Aviation Way, Frederick, Maryland 21701. This was because of their capabilities to support various therapeutic and vaccine efficacy studies for a variety of infectious agents in both small and large animal model systems. This is not a request for a competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government providing clear and convincing evidence that the contractor is capable of performing the technical requirements and that competition of this and future requirements of this nature would be advantageous to the Government. Your response should include your company qualification, experience, past performance and any other proof of your company's ability to perform this work. All responses will be considered, but the Contracting officer retains the right to determine the procurement strategy, based on available information. If no written responses are received by 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on August 15, 2008, the modification to the contract will be awarded without further notice.
