- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number assigned for this procurement will be EA133F-08-RQ-0882. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation and subsequent contract will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This procurement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The associated NAICS code is 334290 and small business size standard number of employees is 750. SCHEDULE OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES: Item 0001: All-In-One GPS Communication Tracking Device. Qty of seven (7) each. DESCRIPTION OF ITEM: -Water resistant to two feet -Reports the position in real time to the laptop base station using the Verizon network -Logs historical GPS positions when not in cell tower range -Can be called upon by the user at any time with a laptop via the internet to report and download a copy of all the positions -Can be programmed via the internet for the frequency of the positioning -Can be programmed via the internet to send text messages and email alerts when movement starts or stops -Can be programmed via the internet to send alerts when specific, user defined areas, are entered or exited (this is called geo fencing) -Can identify speed, course/direction. -Has a battery life of at least 10 days -Is self contained, not hard wired to the vehicle -Has a magnetic housing, not an additional mount or case -Is relatively small -Will go into sleep mode when not in motion -Has a one time "no questions asked" replacement if lost or damaged with in the first two years of purchase Delivered to: NORTHEAST ENFORCEMENT DIVISION 1 BLACKBURN DRIVE GLOUCESTER, MA 01930 Required delivery date: August 30, 2008 FAR 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998) This solicitation incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
