- Description
- Amendment A0004 is issued to provide a corrected BID SCHEDULE with regard to Note (5) concerning the "Daily Yard/Facility Service Charge/Fee." Unfortunately, this note has been incorrect since the issuance of Amendment A0001. The text currently is a virtual duplicate of that for Note (6) which is incorrect. The text for Note (5) should read and is changed as follows: "Fixed Price Per Day: Represents a composite daily rate for pier, dry-dock, shop space and/or marine railway utilization, combined with costs for tool and equipment usage, security, fire protection, waste disposal, fuel storage (if required), utilities, shop consumables (not included in the Materials items), beginning on date of Contractor's acknowledgement of receipt of a Task Order for Phase II or the day following arrival into the Contractor's yard/facility (whichever is later) and continuing for each calendar day thereafter that the vessel is in the care/custody of the Contractor, until date prior to day of departure (after completion of actual repair/maintenance work); Daily rate includes associated profit for this item. This item is only applicable and payable if the principal place of performance is at the Contractor's repair facility/yard (or that of any sub-contractor)." A revised page 7 and complete Excel version of the Bid Schedule are included. In addition, this amendment provides for an updated Attachment 11 (pages 45-46 of the solicitation) which is consistent with text of Amendment A0003 with regard to Contractor's ability to charge and invoice for the "Daily Yard/Facility Service Charge/Fee" beginning on date of Contractor's acknowledgement of receipt of a Task Order for Phase II or the day following arrival into the Contractor's yard/facility (whichever is later) and continuing for each calendar day thereafter that the vessel is in the care/custody of the Contractor, until date prior to day of departure (after completion of actual repair/maintenance work). This change applies only in situations where the Contractor elects to perform the work at its own facility/shipyard (or that of a Sub-Contractor). A revised page 46 and complete Excel version of the Attachment are included. The quotation due date/time remains Friday, 8/8/2008, 3:30pm. Dallas/Central time. No Other Changes
