- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for: Qty 1 Miniature Laser Doppler Velocimetry SystemSpecifications: Laser Doppler Velocimeter system capable of one-component velocity measurement up to300 m/s Accuracy greater than 99.5% Repeatability 0.1% or better Probe standoff distance at least 240 mm in air Physical probe size: 32 mm diameter by 165 mm length, or smaller Laser power: at least 60 mW Laser wavelength: visible Operating temperature: 0 65 degree Celsius Operating pressure: up to 35 bar Computer operating system requirements: Windows XP Photodetector up to 30 MHz response rate with driving electronics Burst processor consisting of computer controlled bandpass filter and 100 MHz highspeed digitizer providing data rates up to 10 kHz Provide probe holder Provide at least 3 meter length signal cable 32-bit PCI card Provide data acquisition software compatible with probe and electronics 110 Volt power supply No water cooling required Computer not neededThe provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 05-26. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery of the item shall be to the NASA Glenn Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road,Cleveland, Oh 44135 The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by August 16, 2008, COB, and may beemailed to Sandra.A.Brickner@nasa.gov or faxed to (216) 433-5489 and must include,solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warrantyduration, taxpayer identification number (TIN), CAGE code, DUNS Number, identification ofany special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (SEPT 2006), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in theclause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall listthe country of origin. Selection and award will be made to that offeror whose offer will be most advantageous tothe Government, with consideration given to the factors of proposed technical merit,price, and past performance. Offerors must include completed copies of the provision at 52.212-3, OfferorRepresentations and Certifications - Commercial Items with their offer.
