Description

Request for Quotation The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), located in Bethesda, MD on the National Naval Medical Campus has a requirement for the purchase of a Laboratory Drying Oven. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. This is a request for quotations (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is the responsibility of the contractor to monitor FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 05-26. Please email all quotations by 12:00 PM (Eastern) on August 3, 2008. This procurement is set aside for small businesses only. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by USUHS. For this procurement, the applicable NAICS code is 423490 ( Other Professional Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers) with a size standard of 500 employees. All vendors must be registered in CCR under this NAICS code before the RFQ closes. The item requested by USUHS is as follows: The contractor shall provide pricing for the following Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): CLIN Quantity Description_____ 0001 1 Laboratory Drying Oven 0002 1 Shipping (If Applicable) STATEMENT OF WORK FOR THE UNIFORMED SERVICES UNIVERSITY of the HEALTH SCIENCES (USUHS) Minimum Specifications : Laboratory Drying Oven Overall Maximum Dimensions: 36 ̎ x 80 ̎ x 32 ̎ (W x H x D) 208 Volts, 60 Hz, 3-Phase, 4-Wire Multiple quotations will be accepted. Evaluation Factors : The government will award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to this announcement, will be most advantageous to the government. Price - Offerors are to provide pricing breakdowns if each additional component is priced separately. Offerors are to provide the unit of issue and the unit cost for the aforementioned item and its features. Technical - Offers are to provide product literature containing details of the machine, details of the installation and/or training, and warranty information and lead time. Award will be made on a best value determination considering price and non-price factors. To be eligible for contract award, a contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. For instructions on registering with the CCR, please see the CCR website at. All offerors are required to submit a completed copy of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with their offer.
