CONSTRUCTION - INTERIOR FINISH MODIFICATIONS TO 1ST FLOOR NOM's OFFICE AND BASEMENT OF AIRWAY FACILITY BREAK ROOM, AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER (ARTCC), HOUSTON, TEXAS SOLICITATION DTFASW-08-R-00094POINT OF CONTACT: Rose Marie Mendoza, Contracting Officer, 817-222-4338 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified contractors interested in providing offers for Interior Finish Modifications to the 1st Floor NOM's Office and Basement of the Airway Facility Break Room at the Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center located at 16600 J.F. Kennedy Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77032. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete all interior work in accordance with the contract plans, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations. Other selective work includes the replacement of an electric water cooler and all its plumbing components, replacement of all cabinets, sinks and faucets. 1. Contract performance time is 90 calendar days 2. This construction project is a total set-aside for Small Business concerns 3. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): 238220 - $31.0 Million4. The dollar range for this project is between $75,000 and $125,000.005.A Mandatory (pre-bid/site visit) will be conducted on this project. Details will be outlined in the Request for Offer package. All interested contractors are required to attend this site visit.6. Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees.7. Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. THE CONTRACTOR MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AT THE TIME SOLICITATION IS REQUESTED 1. BUSINESS DECLARATION2. REFERENCES, PAST PERFORMANCE FROM (3) SIMILAR PROJECTS - The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, dollar amount, and a point of contact at the facility and telephone number This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Request for Offer package is expected to be available on or about August 11, 2008. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the two attached documents. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE You may fax your request and attachments to 817-222-5994, Attn: Rose Marie Mendoza OR e-mail them to rosemarie.Mendoza@faa.gov no later than 3:00 PM (CDT), August 8, 2008. Requests received after this date and time will not be honored. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. For security reasons, this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system. FedBizOpps is an E-Gov initiative that provides a secure environment for distributing sensitive acquisition information (to include Sensitive Unclassified Information (SUI)) to vendors during the solicitation phase of procurement. This system electronically disseminates information or data to the vendor community while still protecting SUI from unauthorized distribution. Data that can be uploaded into FedBizOpps includes construction plans, equipment specifications, and security plans. As FAA utilizes the FAA Contract Opportunities website to announce procurement opportunities, COs will utilize the Non-FBO Secure Document Link functionality in FedBizOpps when electronically distributing SUI Interested offerors must register with FedBizOpps before accessing the system. Registration instructions can be found on the FedBizOpps website (https://www.fedbizopps.gov) "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
