- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is soliciting prospective Service Disabled Veteran Owned firms to construct a new central chiller plant at the Northampton, MA Veterans Administration (VA) Center. Work to be done includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials, to perform all work required for the construction of a new 750 ton stand-alone chilled water plant for Main Hospital Building (#1) at the Northampton, Massachusetts Campus of the Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. The new chilled water plant building (slab on grade, steel frame and steel envelope) and the chilled water system (modular chiller units) internal to it will be adjacent to the existing Main Hospital Building but the only physical connection between the two buildings shall be the chilled water transport piping. All work is anticipated commence in October 2008 and be completed before the end of April 2009. The estimated cost for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS code for this Procurement is 236220 with a Size Standard of $31,000,000. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Firms. The estimated issue date for this procurement is on or about 15 August 2008. Interested bidders can download the solicitation via the Federal Business opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). The due date for the bid will be stated in the solicitation. Requests for solicitation documents by telephone, fax or email will not be honored. Instructions for bid submissions will be provided in the solicitation. All responsible Service Disabled Veteran Owned firms may submit a bid for consideration by the New England District.
