- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Preventive Maintenance Service for the following:This procurement is to perform preventive maintenance service to FC150 Device Bonder,MA/BA6 and MA4 Masks Aligners, SB6 Wafer Bonder, and DSM8 Alignment Checker.FC150 (2) Preventive Maintenance Call includes labor, travel and travel expenses.MA/BA6 (2) Preventive Maintenance Call includes labor, travel and travel expenses.MA4 Preventive Maintenance Call includes labor, travel and travel expenses.SB6 Preventive Maintenance Call includes labor, travel and travel expenses.DSM8 Preventive Maintenance Call includes labor, travel and travel expenses.MA/BA6, MA4, SB6, DSM8 must have PM service done during the same service call to save onexpenses.FC150 Emergency Call 72 Hours response includes labor, travel, car rental, and airline.MA/BA6, MA4, SB6, or DSM8 - 72 hours response for emergency calls includes labor, traveland travel expenses.All machines will get 2PM calls per year. Emergency calls to be carried over thefollowing year if not used.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase these preventive maintenance services from JB technicalSupport Service. It is our understanding that JB technical Support Service is the onlyvendor that can provide these services due to the specialized uniqueness of theequipment.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.The authority isFAR 13.106(b)(1) only one source reasonably available. DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by theGovernment, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.Qustions regarding this acquisition must be directed to the attention of Nadja Hardy viae-mail at nadja.hardy@nasa.gov or via facsimile at (301) 286-9159 by 3:00PM ET on08/06/2008.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00PM EST on08/08/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. It is thequoter's responsibility to minitor this site for the release os amendments. Potentialquoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon reponses to this notice, is solely within the discretion ofthe Government.Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed.
