Description
DO NOT CONTACT ROSE MENDOZA POINT OF CONTACT: CARLA BRAWLEY, CONTRACTING OFFICER, 817 222-4331, carla.brawley@faa.gov The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified small business roofing construction contractors interested in providing offers for roofing projects at the Airport Traffic Control Tower, located at Corpus Christi, Texas, the Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Facility, located at Portland, Texas and the Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) located at Alice, Texas. The FAA is seeking contractors who are certified to install a fully adhered single-ply roofing system manufacturer by Duro-Last or an approved equal. All work shall be accomplished according to the plans and specifications that will be provided. 1.Contract performance time for each project is approximately 30 calendar days. Projects are not likely to be done concurrently2.This construction is being procured as a Small Business Set Aside3.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160 and the smll business size standard is $13.0 Million.4.The dollar range for this procurement is between $100,000 and $200,0005.There will be a mandatory (pre-bid) site visit. Details will be included in solicitation. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award.6.Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees.7.Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. Roofing membrane system installer shall have at least (5) years experience and shall be certified by the roofing membrane manufacturer for installation THE CONTRACTOR MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AT THE TIME SOLICITATION IS REQUESTED 1. BUSINESS DECLARATION 2. REFERENCES, PAST PERFORMANCE FROM (3) SIMILAR PROJECTS - The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, dollar amount, and a point of contact at the facility and telephone number This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Request for Offer Package is expected to be available on or before August 8, 2008. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than noon (CDT) by August 6, 2008. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the two attached documents FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
