- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.102 (g) and in the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is SA1301-8-RQ-0036. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. The full text of clauses referenced herein may be accessed electronically at http://www.acqnet.gov/far/. The NAICS code is 711510 -- Independent Artists, Writers, and Performers, and the associated small business size standard is $6.5M. The Government shall award one fixed price task order type contract as a result of this RFQ. THIS IS A 100% TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE Request for Quote. 1352.211-70 STATEMENT OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS, January 2008. The Department of Commerce has a requirement for an oil painting of the Honorable Carlos M. Gutierrez, Secretary of the Department of Commerce (DOC). This painting will serve as his official portrait for the DOC Portrait Gallery. The initial sitting for the portrait will be no later than December 31, 2008. The contractor shall ship the final portrait painting within 12 months of the initial sitting. The Government contemplates award of firm fixed purchase order, resulting from this RFQ. Vendor must be actively registered in the Central Contractors Registration, CCR, in accordance with 52.204-7. The solicitation notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (FedBizOpps) site www.fedbizopps.gov or www.eps.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response which if timely received, must be considered by the Agency. No paper copies of solicitations or amendments will be issued. No telephone facsimile or written request for the solicitation will be accepted. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
