- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management has a requirement for a consulting firm with expertise in water resources planning and more particularly, specific expertise working on the Badger Creek sub-population of the giant garter snakes (Thamnophis gigas) at the Cosumes River Preserve. Market research conducted shows that only one responsible source can perform this task. It is required by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2. to publicized a notice of our intent. The sources sought will ensure that we solicited from as many potential sources as is practicable. Mr. Hansen will conduct water quality monitoring collect prey abundance, distribution and seasonal fluctuation data; and trap, mark, collect morphological data, and monitor the Snake Marsh population of giant garter snakes both prior to and after the pilot restoration project. Mr. Hansen is a co-aughor with the BLM and others on the grant proposal that was submitted to, and funded by, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
