- LIQUID CRYSTAL TUNABLE FILTER (LCTF). The solicitation number is F4F5AR8199AA01. The NAICS Code is 333314. The size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Cambridge Research & Instrumentation, Inc. The purchase is for the Varispec LCTF Model #SNIR-07-20 STD and associated hardware. Cambridge Research & Instrumentation, Inc. is the only known manufacturer that can provide this type of LCTF system with the appropriate specifications required by the Air Force Institute of Technology Engineering Physics Departments, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433. This system is the only known system that meets specifications for Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) of 7nm at 760nanometers. The research being done will require the LCTF to perform at altitudes above two thousand feet. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
