- Description
- The government is tentatively planning on issuing a solicitation on or around August 18, 2008, for a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract in Saline County, Missouri. This construction project is for PL 84-99 levee repairs on the Saline - Lafayette Levee District. Work shall clearing and grubbing, hauling earthen material, surface preparation, excavation and removal of abandoned existing end section of corrugated metal pipe, placement of a Contractor furnished corrugated metal pipe (including connecting bands and anti-seep collar), placement of earthen material to restore the damaged levee embankment, and seeding of the restored levee embankment. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. This will be as full and open competition. The tentative completion date for all the work (excluding seeding) is November 29, 2008. Seeding is tentatively planned to be completed by April 15, 2009. Solicitation Packets will be made available through the AFSI Website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/solicitation_view.cfm?psolicitationnbr=W912DQ08B0022) or at the site visit which is scheduled on August 28, 2008 at 9:00 AM. Participants will meet at the Central Missouri Agriservice located at 215 Thomas Driver, Waverly, Missouri 64096. Please note that to be eligible for award of this project; you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the CCR website which is www.ccr.gov. Additionally you must complete your Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at the ORCA website which is orca.bpn.gov. Bids must be received at the Contracting Office by 10:00 AM (local time) on September 17, 2008 in Room 748. Please note that if you are hand delivering your solicitation package, you must enter through security. Any untimeliness due to problems getting past security is at the risk of the vendor. The bid opening room (Room 748) shall not be opened until 9:30 AM. To be registered as an interested vendor (like a bidders list for viewing by other potential Prime or Subcontractors), you must post your information through the Federal Business Opportunities Website. A separate bidders list shall not be maintained. The government shall provide a copy of the sign in sheet from the site showing and a list of any questions and answers will be posted to AFSI Website for this project shortly upon the completion of the site visit. Upon completion of the bid opening, information regarding the lowest bidder shall also be posted to http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/Flood2007/RehabRequest-Contracting.htm.
