- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested, a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a request for quotations and is a Small Business Set Aside. The size standard for this effort is 500 employees. NAICS: 333512 FSC: 3416 This RFQ is issued under simplified acquisition procedures. This RFQ has one line item. The item being procured for AFIT/ENY, WPAFB is as follows: CNC/Manual toolroom lathe; 16" (406mm) x 30" (762mm), 16" (406mm) swing, 7.5hp (5.6kw) 2,000rpm, A2-5 spindle, LCD display, no workholding, toolspost, or toolholders, Operates on single or three-phase power, includes visual quick code, intuitive programming system, LCD15, USB port. Minimum requirements include: Expanded memory to 16 MB, manual tailstock shall include platform with 30" travel (76.2cm) & quill section with MT4 & locking handle for manual thrust, chip enclosure kit with double doors allowing full operation of machine while doors are closed. With the doors open the spindle speed is limited to 50 RPM to set tool lengths. Manual steady rest. Manual positioning and gripper adjustment for up to 5" diameter shafts. Three point contact rollers with open C-Frame. Lathe shall have 8" (203mm) manual, 3-jaw scroll chuck for with hard top reversible jaws, A2-5 mount. Hard disk drive (40GB) and Ethernet interface. Compatible with Windows 95,98, ME, 2000 and XP. Also works with server versions NT 4.0, 2000, and 2003. Work light for the lathe. External high-voltage isolation transformer 420-510:240V, 60Hz, 15KVA. Quick change tool post with 2 tool positions at 90 degrees apart, cam lock system, 4ea. ¾" Turn/Face, 1ea. 1" boring bar tool holder, and T-nut. DELIVERY: On or before 15 September 2008.
