- This solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The US Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting for Requests for Quote to furnish new electric 3 phase AC shoe brakes along with new brake wheels and new enclosures for the five tainter gates at Lower Saint Anthony Falls Lock and Dam. New brakes shall be self-adjusting, shoe type, spring set, released by a sealed electro-hydraulic actuator and shall be completely enclosed in a water-tight and dust-tight enclosing case arranged for floor mounting New brakes shall have torque ratings equal to or greater than the existing brakes. Furnish specified spares. Brakes will be installed by others... The solicitation number W912ES-08-T-0059 is issued as a request for quote. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, and evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13. The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation are those in effect at the time of publication. The offeror is cautioned that the listed provisions may include blocks that must be completed by the offeror and submitted with its quotation of offer. The solicitation is set-aside 100% for service-disabled veteran(s) and the size standards is 500 employees. The associated NAICS code is 332312. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-20. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry located at www.ccr.gov prior to contract award. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. A determination by the government to not award based on the responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the government.
