- The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to an additional question received in response to the original synopsis solicitation. There is no change to the original response due date. The following question and answer is provided: Question 3: The solicitation referenced above calls out for two cameras, a SWIR version and a MWIR version. The SWIR version must have a system spectral response from at least 1 micrometer to at least 2.5 micrometers. The MWIR version must have a system spectral response from at least 2 micrometers to at least 5 micrometers. My question is this, does the end user require the cameras to be delivered with cold filters optimized for these spectral ranges? Or can the FPAs used in each camera cover the entire range (1-5 microns) and the end user will supply the necessary cold filters required to achieve the spectral range of interest after delivery and acceptance? Answer 3: The government does not require that the cameras be delivered with cold filters optimized for the 2 spectral ranges. It is perfectly acceptable for the FPA used in each camera to cover the entire spectral range of 1-5 microns.
