- Solicitation Number FA6606-08-R-0002 for Project YTPM 94-0087PA. PB, PC, PD, PF,PG,PH,PI, Maintain/Repair/Sustain/Alter Hangar 7, Phase 1 and 2, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA 01022-1507. The scope of work under this contract includes the following: 1. Phase 1 consists of the renovation of the South Lean-to and a partial renovation of the Main Hangar Maintenance Shops described in the following four categories of work: a. Maintain 1. Surface preparation and finish painting of interior walls, doors and trim including the floor of the central hallway in the main hangar. b. Repair 1. Install fire sprinkler and mass notification systems throughout the Main Hangar Floor shop areas and the South Lean-to. 2. Install a passenger elevator to serve the South Lean-to. 3. Construct a lightweight concrete ceiling slab. 4. Install Force Protection measures at the southerly parking area. d. Sustain. 1. This involves the complete renovation of the entire South Lean-to including hazardous material abatement and mold remediation, selective demolition, replacement of exterior doors and windows, removal and replacement of all architectural finishes. Renovations to the Main Hangar Floor shop area include new ceilings and lighting. 2. Replacement and upgrade of plumbing systems and fixtures, replacement of existing HVAC system controls with Direct Digital Controls and replacement of interior electrical distribution and lighting systems. e. Alter 1. Provide new central air conditioning with Direct Digital Controls throughout the South Lean-to. 2. Phase 2 consists of the renovations of the North Lean-to described in the following four categories of work: a. Maintain 1. Surface preparation and finish painting of interior walls, doors and trim. b. Repair 1. Install fire sprinkler and mass notification systems throughout the North Lean-to. 2. Install a passenger elevator to serve the North Lean-to. 3. Install Force Protection measures at the southerly parking area. c. Sustain 1. "All work in Project YTPM 94-0087ABCD, M/R/S/A Hangar 7, Building 7072, Phase 1 must be substantially completed, the renovated spaces re-occupied by the government and be in full function and operation before work on Project YTPM 94-0087FGHI, M/R/S/A Hangar 7, Building 7072, Phase 2 will be allowed to commence." This project is being solicited Unrestricted. The small busines size standard applicable to this project is $31,000,000.00 and the NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) code for this solicitation is 236210. RFP will be issued on 15 August 2008 with bid opening on 15 September 2008. Site Visit is scheduled for 26 August 2008. Performance period for phase 1: 385 days; Phase 2: 240 calendar days. from the Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost of construction is over $10,000,000. The solicitation including the bid package, wage rates, specifications and drawings will be posted at this site for review and download. There will be no other form of distribution for this bid package or other than downloading the information from this site. A hard copy of the solictiation will be available for examination at the 439 CONF/LGC office, 250 Airlift Drive, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA 01022-1507.*****
