- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of theProgram Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I), Navy Communications Program Office (PMW/A 170) intends to issue a sole source RFP, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1, to Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough, MA 01752. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a one year base and two potential option periods. Contract award is anticipated approximately April 2009 with initial delivery anticipated Sepember 2009. This procurement is for the production and delivery of 31 GBS Systems AN/USR-10 (v), including both variants: 12 Subsurface Receive Suites (SSRSs) (v 1/2/3) and 19 Shipboard Receive Suites (SRSs) (v 4/5); 19 Antenna Controller Units (ACUs); and the conversion of 19 shipboard Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Low Data Rate (LDR) antennas to GBS antennas, according to the specifications for the GBS Shipboard Antenna Systems (SASs) OE-581 Antenna Group. There will be potential options to fulfill potential requirements of 24 SRSs, 24 ACUs, and 24 antenna conversions in FY10 and 24 SRSs, 17 ACUs, and 17 antenna conversions in FY11. The anticipated contract action will also include the procurement of spares, technical manuals, technical data package, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) documentation, and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). GBS provides a high speed (up to 45 Mbps) one way information flow of high volume data to users afloat, ashore or supporting Special Operations. GBS provides the capability to quickly disseminate live video and large files to various joint operations/exercises, special activities, weapons targeting, intelligence, and reconnaissance.
