Description
SOLICITATION for SERVICES Provide Armed Security Guard Services, Memphis Airport Traffic Control Tower, Memphis, TN. The work includes, but is not limited to,provide physical security safeguards for FAA employees, facilities, United States Government property and assets from loss, theft, damage, unauthorized use, criminal acts, espionage, sabotage, and terrorism. The FAA anticipates award of a contract for a base period and four one-year options. Estimated issue date for solicitation: August 14, 2008. Estimated due date for offers: September 4, 2008. Estimated start date for performance: October 1, 2008. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for service-disabled veterans. The NAICS code for the acquisition is 561612, Security Guards and Patrol Services.To be considered by award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: ww.ccr.gov). This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
