Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure network data analysis service from Iknow Inc., 721 Roslyn Terrace, Evanston, IL 60201. In the context of this project the contractor is to process and analyze all diffusion tensor MRI (DT-MRI) data that were acquired by the various centers during the course of the study. This work is critically dependent on the development of mathematical theories to process and interpret such imaging data. Previously we have developed methods to detect and remedy imaging artifacts. At this stage two main goals still need to be accomplished: 1) consolidate all image processing code into a well integrated user friendly software package. 2) develop new methods to register maps of the derived DT-MRI quantities so that they can be compared among subjects. Contractor must be familiar with the imaging sciences and image processing methods, particularly pattern recognition, image segmentation, volume rendering, and image registration. The contractor must have performed scientific research in the area of diffusion tensor MRI. A Masters of Science level in Mathematics or Computer Sciences is a minimum requirement. It is particularly important that the contractor is facile in programming and using several imaging processing environments, such as IDL, C, MatLab, Java and ltk. Responsible vendors that are capable of providing NICHD with this service may request a copy of the RFQ in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIHDK2008102 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 774B, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 Attention: V. Lynn Griffin. Fax quotations must contain offerors names, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All requests for quotation should have a valid email address.
