- This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) is providing information on Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Test Program Set (TPS) utilization of the Microwave Transition Analyzer (MTA). The CASS MTA (CASS asset name SSSA) is obsolete. NAWCAD LKE is interested in replacing the MTA functionality with COTSs instrumentation as part of the electronic Consolodated Automated Support System (eCASS) procurement. General Description: The Government has identified CASS TPS’s that utilize the CASS MTA (SSSA) and prepared a CD containing the TPS source code along with the CASS B1 specification and the CASS TPS Developers Guide. Respondents are requested to study the TPS source code and provide comments on the ability of COTS instrumentation to replicate the MTA functionality used by the TPSs. Respondents are requested to study the CASS B1 specification and the CASS TPS Developers Guide and provide comments on the ability of COTS instrumentation to replicate all MTA functionality. Comments should identify MTA functionality that drives custom designs and/or non-recurring costs along with the TPSs that use that functionality. Respondents are requested to provide Rough Order of Magnitude Estimates for replacement of all MTA functionality and only the MTA functionality used by the TPS’s. Request written responses to this RFI to be submitted no later than 28 August 2008. The CD contains Export Controlled information and cannot be posted herein. The written request for the CD must include a certified copy of a DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement.
