Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a competitive solicitation, N00024-08-R-6326, for the Commanders Leadership Program (CLP). The intent of the program is to deliver a concentrated business curriculum that will enhance the leaders awareness of the corporate culture and business management practices as they execute largely DOD/DON policy issues. The CLP design will provide attendees with education in current and cutting-edge business practices sufficient to allow them to recognize current opportunities and threats, to anticipate potential changes in the business world that would ultimately lead to coordination and implementation of anticipatory responses. The curriculum will be rigorous and provide the Command leadership with a comprehensive education that encapsulates the core competencies of a Masters in Business Administration curriculum. The Contractor is required to provide a residential executive-level education program geared to the needs of mid-grade Naval Officers and NAVSEA civilian counterparts, so as to allow them to understand the operation and workings of American business. The CLP will encompass a series of academic coursework in the areas of leadership, strategic management and communications, globalization and national security, and public management practices. The length of individual coursework will range from three (3) to ten (10) consecutive days of instruction based on subject content. NAVSEA will require an annual CLP program deployment to conclude within 26 months. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Navy Electronic Commerce Site (NECO) in the near future. The solicitation number will be N00024-08-R-6326. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it directly to their workstation on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet site or URL: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided or mailed to contractors. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation to maintain a bidders mailing list.
