Description
The United States Marine Corps Systems Command is hosting the annual Tactical Radio Users Conference August 26-28, 2008 at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center, VA; and requests participation from Industry to introduce their tactical vehicular intercom systems. This is a request for information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded based on this RFI. The purpose of this conference is to inform the multiple project offices and the Fleet Marine Force of capabilities of vehicular intercommunication systems that exist today to help develop the requirements for next generation of USMC vehicular intercom systems. The Marine Corps invites vendors with material solutions based on the criteria listed below to attend and display their vehicular intercom system at the conference, and up to 10 vendors will be invited to brief the capabilities of their system at the conference. The Marine Corps is looking for vendors that have a rugged, modular, state-of-the-art tactical vehicle intercom system with the following desired capabilities: - Intercom (simultaneous, monitor, emergency, conference)- IP backbone in addition to fiber backbone (Ethernet ports with high speed interface)- VOIP connectivity- Cross band radio relay- Multiple radio management to control frequency, transmit power, squelch, mode and built-in-test (BIT) results- JITC certification- TEMPEST certification- Secure wireless capability- Modular components- Low size, weight and power (SWAP)- Modular and expandable approach to voice and data- System connects all communication assets for all users- Availability of additional features via software upgrades- Radio control for the below listed radio transmitters:- Control of other radios requires software modifications only- No Maintenance or Calibration Required- Selectable Hot Mic, PTT or VOX- MOPP IV and Cold Weather Gear Compatible- Rapid setup and take down with instant on capability This is not a solicitation for proposal nor obligates the government contractually in any way, but rather gives an opportunity for Industry to present the capabilities of their products and for the Marine Corps to develop an understanding of the new capabilities that exist. Vendors will have booth space to demonstrate their product(s) and selected vendors will be provided an opportunity to brief their products. All requests for attendance and as well as proposed briefing material must be submitted electronically to brandon.shaw@usmc.mil by 3:00pm Eastern Time 12 August, 2008. Vendors shall submit a capability statement not to exceed 10 pages outlining their ability to meet or exceed the requirements above. Proposed briefing materials shall be Microsoft PowerPoint slides and shall not exceed a twenty minute brief time. Vendors shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with attendance or briefing.
