- DescriptionThe work includes providing firm-fixed price and indefinite quantity electrical services at the Naval Air Station, Brunswick, Maine. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be for a period of one year with one option year. ALL PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST REGISTER IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF A CONTRACT. QUOTERS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE MAY RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Registration can be accomplished on www.ccr.gov. As per FAR 52.219-6 NOTICE OF TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET A SIDE, offers or quotations under this acquisition are solicited from emerging small business concerns only. Offers that are not from an emerging small business shall not be considered and shall be rejected. In accordance with DFARS 226.71 and 226.72, this contract is being set aside for the geographic area impacted by the Brunswick Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) actions. Only offerors registered in the CCR as a Small Business concern residing in the counties of Androscoggin, Cumberland, Oxford, Sagadahoc or York, Maine may apply. Interested Small Business concerns registered in those counties that meet the criteria must indicate their interest by submitting evidence of the capability to perform (three references with names, phone and contact numbers) within 15 days of this notice. Replies to this notice are requested from NAICS 238210, Electrical Contractors. All quotes received from all responsible sources shall be considered. The official access to the solicitation will be available on the internet at www.neco.navy.mil on or about 21 AUG 08. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet and the official plan holders list will be maintained on, and can be printed from the Internet site. All prospective bidders must register as plan holders on the Internet NECO website for this project. Each company must indicate its name, address, phone number, and e-mail address; identify whether the firm is a prime, sub or supplier and indicate whether firm is an Emerging Small Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Business or Large Business. It is therefore, the contractors responsibility to check the above listed address daily for any posted changes to the solicitations plans and specifications. This solicitation will be in electronic format only and all documents will be provided in Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) files. A free copy of the Acrobat reader is required to read the.PDF files and can be downloaded directly from the adobe website. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CONTRACTS OFFICE.
