- Description
- The Fort Myer Military Community, Ft Myer, Virginia has a requirement to provide trailers in the Washington DC area. Trailer Specifications shall include but not be limited to: (1 Each ) 12 x 60 (12 x 56 box) Construction Trailer: Interior must have two rooms, approximate size of rooms: 40 Operations Space, 16 Break Area. Trailer must be in new or like new condition. Interior lights and electric heat (must have warranty or service contract to repair heat within 8 hours if it becomes inoperable). 60 AMP service panel (must be able to operate two notebook computers, two television monitors, a fax machine, a radio charger, and at least five small appliances). 120 VAC receptacles: no fewer than QTY 8 in the 40 room and QTY 4 receptacles in the 16 room. At least four (4) windows providing complete exterior view (one window must be on end wall). Two sets of exterior staircases with OSHA approved handrails. Two exterior doors on same side; dead bolt locks on both doors. Two one inch holes (1in each room) penetrating the floor for communication cables. Security mesh, bars or steel grate covers on all windows. If equipped with a bathroom, remove commode to prevent use by occupants. NOTE: Requires direct electrical feed. Contractor must be responsible for delivery, installation, leveling and removal of trailers. Padding is required between sidewalk and trailer leveling blocks to prevent damage to sidewalks. (7 Each) 8 x 32 (8 x 28 box) Construction Trailers: Interior must have two rooms roughly equal in size. Trailers must be in new or like new condition. Interior lights and electric heat (must have warranty or service contract to repair heat within 8 hours if it becomes inoperable). 60 AMP service panel (must be able to operate a radio charger, at least two small appliances, and a computer) 120 VAC receptacles: no fewer than QTY 3 in each room (6 total). At least four windows providing complete exterior view (one window must be on end wall). Two sets of exterior stairs with OSHA approved handrails. Two exterior doors, dead bolt locks on both doors. Two one inch holes (1 in each room) penetrating the floor for communication cables. Security mesh, bars or steel grate covers on all windows. If equipped with a bathroom, remove commode to prevent use by occupants. Contractor must be responsible for delivery, installation, leveling and removal of trailers. Padding is required between sidewalk and trailer leveling blocks to prevent damage to sidewalks. (7 each) 8 x 24 (8 x 20 box) Construction Trailers: Trailers must be in new or like new condition. Interior lights and electric heat (must have warranty or service contract to repair heat within 8 hours if it becomes inoperable). 60 AMP service panel (must be able to operate a radio charger, at least two small appliances, and a computer). 120 VAC receptacles: no fewer than QTY 6. At least four windows providing complete exterior view (one window must be on end wall). One set of exterior stairs with OSHA approved handrails. One exterior door, with dead bolt lock. One inch hole penetrating floor for communication cables. Security mesh, bars or steel grate covers on all windows. If equipped with a bathroom, remove commode to prevent use by occupants. Contractor must be responsible for delivery, installation, leveling, and removal of trailers. Padding is required between sidewalk and trailer leveling blocks to prevent damage to sidewalks. Option for Exterior Skirting: The contractor shall provide exterior skirting for each trailer and trailer size if options as set forth in the contract are exercised. The Contracting Officer will provide the contractor verbal notice of the exercise of the option for exterior skirting no later than ten calendar days prior to any required delivery and installation date for already ordered trailers. For any additional trailers as set forth in options under paragraph 6 below, notification of the exterior skirting requirement will be provided no later than four calendar days prior to any required delivery and installation date. The Contracting Officer will provide a duly executed modification for any of the option(s) within the schedule that are exercised. The Contracting Officer is the only individual who may exercise this option. The locations will be within the approximate area of the other delivered and installed trailers, and generally no more than 15 miles from the Capitol. Upgrades for select Trailers and Options for Additional Trailers: The contractor shall provide either upgrades as set forth below or additional trailers as set forth below, if options as set forth in the contract are exercised: Option for additional 12 x 60 (12 x 56 box) Construction Trailer. Contractor shall price options for an additional 1 to 5 additional trailers this size. Option for additional 8 x 32 (8 x 28 box) Construction Trailer IAW 4b requirements above. Contractor shall price options for an additional 1 to 5 additional trailers this size. Option for additional 8 x 24 (8 x 20 box) Construction Trailer IAW 4c requirements above. Contractor shall price options for an additional 1 to 5 additional trailers this size. The contracting Officer will provide the contractor verbal notice of the exercise of the options no later than four calendar days prior to any required delivery and installation date. The contracting officer will provide a duly executed modification for any of the option(s) within the schedule that are exercised. The Contracting Officer is the only individual who may exercise this option. The locations will be within the approximate area of the other delivered and installed trailers, and generally in the Washington DC area. These trailers will be removed during shut-down according to the same schedule of the other trailers delivered as a part of this SOW. General Specifications: Contactor will be required to provide a demonstration walkthrough of proposed trailers. Contactor will provide three (3) sets of keys for each trailer. Contractor may be required, at government request, to relocate trailers within or on the parade route. No additional signs advertising Trailer Company other than that normally affixed to the trailer will be allowed. Government may mount small sign or communication antenna to the trailer. If antennas are mounted, permanent attachment methods will not be used. General Scope of Responsibilities: Contractor is responsible for delivery, installation, operational testing, maintenance, clean-up and removal of all equipment, cables, distribution boxes, and other miscellaneous equipment needed to operate trailers. Power connected to trailers shall be provided by the contractor and in accordance with National Electric Code (NEC). Government will be responsible for any permitting for trailers. Contractors shall provide a fire extinguisher with each trailer. Testing and Connection: Each trailer shall have a 120/220 VAC 60 amp service panel. Contractor is responsible for installing trailers at the stated locations NLT the required date and time required in paragraph 3 and the identified delivery and operational date set forth in the same paragraph. Generators and/or land power lines will be used to provide power to the trailers. Support: Contractor shall provide personnel and resources (installer/repair technicians, etc.) to ensure adequate responses to any Government concerns during the used of the trailers. Onsite demonstration of Trailers/Equipment and Operational Demonstration: Contractor shall be required to provide a demonstration of the proposed trailer types for technical evaluation prior to award to determine if they meet Government requirements. This demonstration will be during the proposal evaluation phase. Additionally, the contractor shall be required to provide a hands-on demonstration to Government Engineer Division of the trailers once installed and operational. Servicing and Standard Commercial Practices: Contractor shall comply with any local, state or federal environmental, safety or license laws or regulations and requirements as is required for any commercial operator and suppliers of trailers and ancillary equipment. Contractor and employees shall comport with standard commercial practices for a commercial supplier of the trailers and transportation/Installation of trailers. Securing Trailers and Equipment: Contractor shall provide a means to secure trailers from unauthorized access or tampering by unauthorized personnel.
