- Description
- The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with InSpeck, Inc for a 3D Mega Capturor DF Digitizer. The 3D Mega Capturor DF Digitizer is the only commercially available system that has the ability: A) Digitize three-dimensional surface shapes and create accurate computer models of those digitized shapes. B) Allow the overlay of a digital image of the digitized surface in the form of a texture map on the computerized model. C) Operate using visible light rather than lasers. D) Operate with dual fields, enabling preservation of high accuracy (sub-millimeter accuracy) whether digitizing small (less than 300x300x300mm) or large objects (up to 700x700x700mm). E) Capture full field surfaces in less than 1 sec. F) Perform integrated operation of up to four cameras for fully digitizing all sides of an object simultaneously. G) Provide calibration to stitch digitized surface patches together with geometric accuracy. H) To allow portability to allow the device to be taken to remote places of operation. To the best of our knowledge InSpeck, Inc is the exclusive distributor of this product. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 339112. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (6) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with a sole source negotiation with InSpeck, Inc.
