- The VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN6) Central Acquisition Service oof the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to procure sole source with J.P. Hollander, LLC, 66 Overlook Terrace, New York, New York, for a period of one year. This procurement will involve the development, enhancement and implementation of nursing documentation software that supports nursing practice.The Office of Nursing Services Clinical Applications Coordinator shall provide expertise in developing and installing clinical applications involving the collection of nursing data. The Coordinator of this project shall possess a substantial combination of Information Technology skills and Clinical Nursing expertise. The Coordinator shall also possess a working knowledge of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). The Coordinator shall serve on technology workgroups to ensure nursing related components are built into new and enhanced applications. The NAICS code 541511 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information about their capabilities no later than 2:00pm, EST on August 13, 2008. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
