Description

***The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Solomon Park Research Laboratories in Kirkland, WA for a procurement to replenish SRM 967A, Creatinine in Frozen Human Serum.*** The blood will be subjected to identical process as the previously procured from Solomon Park Research Laboratories. In order to maintain the commutability for SRM 967A, it is essential that the preparation of the renewal of 967A be performed in the same manner as the preparation of 967. Without commutability, the SRM becomes less valuable to the clinical diagnostic community. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 90 days after receipt vial labels.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 325414, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 22, 2008.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
