- The 37th Contracting Squadron/LGCAA is intending to award a sole-source purchase order to Kidde Fire Fighting, Inc to purchase Angus Fire Hoses. The quantities and description are as follows: 44 each - Angus High Combat Fire Hose. Each section will be 1 ¾" x 50' long. The price per section includes freight/delivery to Lackland AFB Texas. Hose shall have directional markings to show the way out or to safety. The Lackland AFB fire department name shall be stitched into the hose fabric. Threads shall be national standard threads for fire hose, 20 each - Angus High Combat Fire Hose. Each section will be 2 ½" x 50' long. The price per section includes freight/delivery to Lackland AFB Texas. Hose threads shall be national standard threads for fire hose, 16 each - Angus High Volume Supply Hose. Each section will be 5" x 100' long. Each section will have non threaded (storz) connections at each end. The price per section includes freight/delivery to Lackland AFB Texas, 8 each - Angus High Volume Supply Hose. Each section will be 5" x 50' long. Each section will have non threaded (storz) connections at each end. The price per section includes freight/delivery to Lackland AFB Texas. All Fire Hoses shall meet or exceed the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards. NFPA 1961 Standard on Fire Hose 2007 Edition and NFPA 1963 Standard for Fire Hose Connections 2003 Edition. No other Brand/Manufacturer of Fire Hose will be accepted. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 19 Aug 08. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on Sole Source requirement. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25 effective 25 January, 2008 and DFARS Change Notice 20080124, Standard Industrial Code 3569, North American Industry Classification System Code 314999 and Size Standard of 500 apply to this procurement. Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. The justification for this sole source procurement is to continue support of the 37 CES/CEF's mission of providing Angus fire hoses to the Lackland Air Force Base Fire Department.
