- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-26. The solicitation number is Q8366080068 and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). NAICS code: 336612. No paper copies will be sent. Notifications of any changes will be made as modifications to this announcement. To receive an award, vendor must maintain a current registration at www.ccr.gov. The National Park Service, Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA), has identified a need for a replacement for our Parker Sr. boat. Requirements-Boat to be fiberglass center console with modified to deep "V" hull shape-Boat length to be 28' to 31'-Beam to be 8'6" to 9'6"-Cockpit depth forward to be max. 30"-Console to have small cuddy cabin in forward portion for head-Max boat weight to be 8000 lbs.-Boat to have aft swim platform with transom door and dive ladder-Under deck storage to be minimum of 20 cubic feet-Bow rail to be max. 4" above deck or inset below coaming-Min. 3 cleats per side for dock lines-All around navigation light to be mounted at center of hard top Outboard power to be twin 4 stroke. Motors to be Mercury Verado or Yamaha. Motors to be factory installed with S/S props and all rigging controls and gauges. Motor H.P. to be sufficient to propel boat at 40 MPH at full throttle. We requested Mercury Verado or Yamaha Motors because that is what we are currently using on our boats and we have and established reliable vender that performs our service and maintenance. Also, one of the recommendation of a recent boat/vehicle audit carried out at Lake Mead NRA, was to standardize the brand name of boat motors we purchase. Accessories and Options -ABS hard top over helm and console -Canvas is not acceptable-Support tubing to be chrome or aluminum, not powder coated-Seats for operator and observer-not leaning posts-Removable clear plastic on front and sides of hard top supports to protect operator-Spreader lights fore and aft on hard top to light deck for working-Remote control spotlight on forward edge of hard top-Stainless steel keel guard for beaching-Hydraulic trim tabs-Dual batteries with switch-Bilge pump with automatic float switch-Electronics package to include a depth finder and GPS unit at a minimum-(2) 12 volt outlets on console-Raw water deck wash down system with pump -Heavy duty trailer fitted to boat with LED lights and spare tire with carrier Award will be made based on best value to the government. QUOTES: Provide a quote which clearly describes the boat being offered including accessories and options. Quotes are due August 27, 2008, by 2 PM (PDT).
