- US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to procure Aquatic Herbicide to be delivered to Palatka, FL. An Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a Base Year and Four Option Years is considered for this acquisition. Aquatic Herbicides to be procured are REWARD (Diquat-Liquid), or equal packaged in 2.5 gallon containers; WEEDAR 64 (2,4-Dichlorophenoxyatic Acid-Liquid), or equal packaged in 30 gallon plastic drums and 2.5 gallon plastic containers; RODEO (Glyphosate-Liquid), or equal packaged in 2.5 gallon containers. Herbicides will be ordered by individual delivery orders, not to exceed the maximum established in the solicitation. Solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis; therefore all businesses are invited to respond. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive, responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to this Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be the most advantageous to the Government. The applicable NAICS code is 325320; Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Solicitation DACW17 08 B 0018 will be issued on or about 19 August 2008 and bids due on or about 1 September 2008. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the ARMY Single Fact to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil. No phone of fax request for copy of solicitation will be accepted. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register to receive notification on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. In addition, in order to generate a plan holders list, all interested bidders must also register as interested vendor which is also located on the FEDBIZOPPS website. Registration requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004, Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. You must be registered in the CCR in order to be eligible to receive an award from this solicitation. Information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense CCR database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a bidder ineligible for award.
