- U. S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TOWER SPACE. WINNABOW, NC The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) seeks expressions of interest from owners and authorized agents of existing towers. NOAA presently has a NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) antenna at approximately 550 feet above ground level (AGL) on a tower at 3679 Lewis Swamp Rd NE, Winnabow, NC 28479, along with approximately 20 square feet (SF) of floor space in an adjacent structure for a NWR transmitter; and is seeking expressions of interest from owners of other towers in and around the area of Winnabow, NC for possible relocation of the antenna and equipment. This broadcast antenna provides NWR coverage of Brunswick, New Hanover, Columbus, Pender and part of Bladen Counties in south eastern North Carolina. The Government will consider relocation only if a move is economically advantageous. The Government will consider agency mission requirements, the cost of moving, installation of equipment, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate. Occupancy would be required by December 1, 2008 and will be for 5 to 20 years. This advertisement is not a basis for negotiation. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all expressions of interest and give consideration to properties other than those offered in response to this advertisement. AMOUNT: Position on a tower at c. 550 feet AGL for the placement of NWR property consisting of a Scala 6 Bay antenna; plus floor area in an adjacent structure for placement of a SRS Dual 1KW transmitter. NWR will provide and install the equipment. LOCATION: Tower must be in or around the area of Winnabow, NC. REQUIRED: Utilities, air-conditioning, and standby power are requested as part of the rental consideration. TERM: The lease shall be for a term of 5 to 20 years. OWNERS & AGENTS: This is an expression of interest for available space, NOT an invitation to bid. Interest parties should write, e-mail or call, NOT LATER THAN September 1, 2008 to: Yvonne B.
