Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue four sole source purchase orders for software upgrade, frequency change of the base wide emergency reporting systems at Buckley AFB, CO in accordance with FAR Part 12 Regulations, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The potential award will go to Simplex Grinnell 6240 Smith Rd. Denver, CO 80260. These two requirements are considered sole source given that Simplex Grinnell is the only known approved local distributor that is capable of providing the software updates, and required frequency change to currently installed Digitize systems. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source is known and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
