- The National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Part, a designated Climate Friendly Park, has identified a requirement to solicit the purchase of one or two new hybrid sedans to help in our goal for reduction of our GHG emissions. This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items has been prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is Q8552080074 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, dated June 12, 2008. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 441110 and the small business size is $28.5 Million. THE FOLLOWING ARE MINIMUM REQUIRESMENTS:"Compact or mid size sedan that seats five"Gasoline/Electric Hybrid"New 2008 or 2009 model"White exterior"Automatic"FM/AM Radio"Air Conditioning"Anti-Lock Brakes"Driver and Passenger Airbags"A combined MPG of 35 miles or greater"Annual production of no more that 5.0 tons of CO2 based on using 500 gal. of fuel per year"An EPA air pollution score of no less than 7"Price to include delivery to Sequoia National Park, 47050 Generals Hwy, Three Rivers, CA 93271 The project contact person for this procurement is Fred Picavet 559-565-3180.
