- THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS A 100% HUBZONE SET-ASIDE. This project includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor required to perform safety modifications at four bridge sites. The work includes installation of bridge rail, guardrail, guardrail end anchorages, and minor removals and repairs adjacent to and on the existing structures. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions by making arrangements with the Project Leader. Site Visit information will be listed in the solicitation. Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve him from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is under $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. The total performance is 60 days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is a 100% HubZone Set-aside. The NAICS code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, and the size standard is $31 Million. This Acquisiton wil be subject to the Availability of Funds. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about August 27, 2008 with an anticipated closing date 30 days after that. Copies of the Request for Proposal, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
