Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-25 effective 28 Apr 08. This is 100% set aside for Small Business. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) codes for this procurement is 314110 (Carpet and Rug Mills) with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Washington Headquarter Services (WHS), Acquisition and Procurement Office, Department of Defense, 1155 Defense Pentagon, Washington, DC 20301-1155 intends to purchase 1,420 square yards of Mohawk Surreal 954 Mystery carpet (or equivalent) and six (6) four (4) gallon pails of adhesive. If quoting for items other than the make and model specified, approval must be sought from Michael Murtha, (703) 696-3964, Contracting Officer or michael.murtha@whs.mil. All items will be delivered (F.O.B. Destination) to; however, offerors shall price delivery separately: 1155 Defense Pentagon Washington, DC 20301 The FAR provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (SEP 2006), applies to this acquisition. Addenda to the following paragraphs of 52.212-1 are: (b) All quotes are due on or before 1530 hrs, Eastern Standard Time (EST), August 5, 2008. Submission shall be made via email to gregory.lindsey.ctr@whs.mil. Quotes must reference the solicitation number. (b)(4) Submit a technical description of the items being offered. (k) Central Contractor Registration. Offerors must be registered in the CCR database to receive a contract award.
