Description

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). Thomson/West, 610 Opperman Drive, St. Paul, MN 55123-1340, is the only known source that can continue to provide the required Westlaw online legal research services. The requirement is for continued access to the proprietary Westlaw database via the Internet. Therefore, no solicitation document exists. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 10:00 A.M. Local time on 08/14/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis based upon responses to this notices is solely within the discretion of the government.
