- This is a pre solicitation notice with the intent to advertise for a Firm Fixed-Price Construction Contract to renovate a metal shed. The work includes removal of existing ceiling panels, painting of metal structure, enclosing the existing shelter with insulated wall and ceiling panels, installation of forced ventilation, installation of windows and doors, providing storm drainage and relocating electrical fixtures and demolition of adjacent building 630TR1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. Contractors will be required to be certified in compliance with the Societa Orgainis d'Attestazione (SOA) and provide proof of the certification with the submission of the firms offer. Classification is as follows: OS18, Class I. Estimated cost is between ?80,000.00 and ?200,000.00. This is a new procurement and does not replace an existing contract. The project includes a base bid item. The total duration shall not exceed 180 calendar days. The project will be solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bidders can view and/or download the solicitation via Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested bidders shall register at this website The solicitation is expected to be posted on August 14, 2008. Bids are expected to be due on September 15, 2008 at 14:00 P.M. (CET). No Electronic Submissions are authorized. All d! ates are tentative and are subject to change. Registration for this IFB does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation. This is an internet only solicitation, paper copies of the solicitation, amendments, drawings and maps will not be provided. A site visit will be scheduled and information will be posted in the solicitation. All technical/contractual questions must be submitted in writing to: robert.leblanc@nassig.sicily.navy.mil. The Government intends on issuing this IFB through the Internet at https://euro.neco.navy.mil (EuroNECO) and at http://fbo.gov/ (FedBizOpps). Amendments will also be posted on the website for downloading. All interested offerors shall register at the website to ensure they are notified of updates or amendments to the solicitation as they occur. ***CONTRACTORS MUST CHECK THE "NAVFAC VENDOR" BOX WHEN REGISTERING in EuroNECO to be notified of NAVFAC business opportunities. No other notice of solicitation activity will be provided to interested offerors. It is the responsibility of each bidder to check the websites periodically for any amendments to this solicitation.
