- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD), intends to award a sole source contract to Burns Machine Inc, 16475 Ridge Road, Ninde, VA 22526 for sixteen (16) Tap Box Assemblies, thirty-two (32) Mounts, sixteen (16) Caps, thirty-two (32) I/O Covers, sixteen (16) Sockets, and one (1) Welding Fixture. These specific products are for rugged, shipboard approved tactical grade Navy Tactical Data System (NTDS) Tap box enclosures required to passively collect data from mission critical radar system interfaces. These exact components and assemblies have been tested and proven to meet stringent environmental and quality standards. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13 as a Firm Fixed Price purchase order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332710 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Pricing shall be FOB Destination Dahlgren, VA 22448; therefore, the quote must include all applicable shipping charges. Anticipated award date is 26 August 2008. Quotes may be submitted via email in Microsoft Word format to angela.headley@navy.mil. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST FOR QUOTATION, AS ALL ITEMS ARE SPECIFIED UNDER THIS NOTICE AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment offices may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractors EFT information contained in the CCR database. This synopsis will close on 19 August 2008 at 2:00PM ET.
