Description
CONTRACTORS: PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Please send all requests and/or correspondence to Mr. Derrick A. Gregory at: Derrick.CTR.Gregory@FAA.Gov. DO NO CALL Mr. Michael Waite for any questions, answers or advice. Sir Description: The Federal Aviation Administration Western-Pacific Region; Hereby announces its intention to solicit a Request for Offers (RFO). Awards resulting from the (RFO) will be based on best value to the FAA giving consideration to: (1) Total cost to the FAA, and (2) Offeror's past performance and experience with the same or similar work. The successful offeror shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, and supervision necessary in the performance of all work associated with replacing the existing asphalt pavement at Hoolehua Airport, Molokai (MKK) Facility parking lot in Molokai, Hawaii. Note: All Vendors that reply to the announcement must be registered in Central Contractors Registration (CCR) in order to do Business with the FAA: WWW.CCR.GOV. Solicitation will only be issued to Vendors that reply to the announcement by the closing date. The Project Consist of the specification, together with the reference specifications, standards and drawings specified in the Contract Documents, covers the requirements for all work associated with replacing the existing asphalt pavement at the Molokai (MKK) Facility. Scope of the project includes, but is not limited to: 1. Removal of dilapidated pavement2. Compaction3. Micrograding4. Installation of new 2" thick asphalt5. Re-striping The FAA will evaluate offers in response to this solicitation and will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, provides the "Best" value to the FAA. The award criteria will be clearly defined in the solicitation. The Solicitation for this project will not be issued until closing date of this announcement. T3.6.1 - Small Business Development Program (Revision 21, October 2007) Small Business Development 5: DOT Lending Program a. To promote the financial assistance programs available from the OSDBU (S-40), procurement teams should add the following information in each public announcement of procurement:"This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169." The National American Industry Classification System code for this project 237310. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer for this requirement.
