- This synopsis is prepared in accordance with the procedures in FAR Subpart 5.201 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This synopsis of contract action is for the procurement of a Dust Collector to replace an existing dust collector. Requirement quantity: 1 Each The existing dust collector was manufactured by Pangborn. (Model 264-CT-614) The contractor shall furnish and install a new Dust Collector as a turn-key installation. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS 1. Replacement Dust Collector shall provide the same airflow and filtration capability as the existing Dust Collectors. 2. Airflow shall be 30,000 CFM 5% 3. Filtration efficiency 99.999% @ 0.5 micron size 4. Dust Collector shall be designed so that mechanics are not required to enter the collector to change the filter elements. 5. Dust Collector shall be designed for outside operation. 6. Contractor shall install all ladders and work platforms necessary to change the filter elements and perform regular equipment maintenance. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS 1. Contractor shall coordinate his schedule with the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) to ensure that his work does not interfere with the depots production. 2. Contractor shall ensure that his vehicles and equipment are positioned to avoiding blocking traffic in the area as much as possible. 3. Contractor shall furnish and ensure his employees use any personal protection equipment required and that safe procedures are followed. 4. Contractor shall install the new Dust Collector on the north side of Bldg 358A where the old units were located. Contractor shall be responsible for any work required to secure the new Dust Collector in place and connect the duct work as required. 5. Contractor shall connect the utilities to the Dust Collector and make the unit operational. 6. Contractor shall ensure that the debris and leftover materials are removed from the area around Bldg 358A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Contractor shall provide two complete copies of operations and maintenance manuals for the Dust Collector. The manuals shall include an illustrated parts breakdown to facilitate ordering repair parts, a recommended preventive maintenance schedule, and a recommended spare parts list. 2. Contractor shall provide operations and maintenance training for up to six RRAD personnel on site after completion of the installation. 3. Contractor shall provide a full parts and labor warranty for a minimum of 12 months after final acceptance by the government.
