- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 has a requirement to Upgrade Ventilation on 7N - 11N according to project drawings and specifications for Project #646-07-110. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, mechanical and electrical work, specified equipment, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. The construction cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable NAICS is 238220 with the small business size standard of $13 million. A Pre-Bid Conference is anticipated on or about (o/a) September 5, 2008 at 1:00 PM EST at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive division, Building One, Ground Floor in the Engineering Conference Room AN216. Although not mandatory, all bidders are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by email to Lynne.Dickerhoff@va.gov or by fax to 412-365-5444 no later than September 2, 2008 so they can be addressed at the Pre-Bid Conference. Further questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer by email or fax until close of business five (5) calendar days after the Pre-Bid Conference, and responses will be provided to all bidders on the Bidder's Mailing List. Questions received later than five (5) calendar days after the Pre-Bid Conference will not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid opening date. Bid opening will be o/a September 25, 2008. This procurement is being set-aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Solicitation will be issued o/a August 27, 2008 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading FREE OF CHARGE. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2000 format. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at the website. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website. Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov, shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and be registered at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov prior to award of a contract.
