- Description
- Contractor shall furnish and install one 36' by 60' greenhouse on an existing gravel pad at the Kika de la Garza Plant Materials Center, Kingsville, TX. The greenhouse shall include: 1. 10' sidewall height. 2. One 6' by 6'9" sliding door. 3. Two 42" wide ADA steel exterior doors. 4. Two propane heaters, which shall be attached to existing propane supply. 5. One motorized single roof vent, 48" or larger. 6. Two horizontal air flow fans. 7. 48" vertical vent system on entire length of both sidewalls, to allow use of the stucture as a shadehouse. 8. One 48" evaporative pad cooling system for endwall, with vent coverings as needed. 9. One step up controller. 10. One gable exhaust fan. 11. One inlet shutter. 12. Single-wall corrugated (or fluted) polycarbonate with radiation diffusing pigmentation on roof, sides and ends, with a minimum 10 year guarantee. 100% diffused light while maintaining 85% level of light transmission. 13. Aluminum outside gutters. 14. Motorized interior shade system. 15. Two exhaust fans, 36" or larger. 16. Anchoring system (Piers, anchors, attachments, etc) as required. Award will be made to the conforming bidder with the lowest overall cost, including delivery and installation of all equipment and coverings. Site visit will be held at 1:00 p.m., 12 August 2008 at the Kika de la Garza Plant Materials Center, 3409 N FM 1355, Kingsville, TX 78363. Bidders are not required to attend, but are encouraged in order to fully understand the specific site considerations, and have an opportunity to present questions prior to bidding.
