Description: The 142 Fighter Wing Contracting Office, Air National Guard, Portland, OR 97209, announces the pending release of teh solicitation for MESS ATTENDANTS AND LINE COOKS in support of Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs aka Drills) that occur generally one weekend per month (Sat/Sun). Typically, a team of 8 - 12 workers and a supervisor/superintendent does the work in preparing meals and proving total clean-up for 350 - 550 military personnel each day of service (again, generally only 2 days per month during UTA). The service must be provided by a licensed/insured contractor and all workers must have either Washington state or Oregon Food Handlers Certificate and pass a base entry background investigation. The food service will be provided 11 - 12 times per year (for a total of 22-24 lunches). Food and all cooking/preparation/eating utensils/cleaning supplies furnished by the government. Contractor to supply personnel and uniforms/name tags/hats for their employees and be responsible to ensure each employee is screened/badged through base security and that each of its employees has the Food Handlers certificate. Period of performance will be a 12 month period generally starting 1 October and ending on 30 Sept the following year. This contract will have a base year and four option years. The North American Industrial Classification SYstem (NAICS) for this procurement of services is 722310 (food services/related), with a small business size standard of $19,000,000. Price will is the only evaluation factor for contract award. All offers received must be in alignment and adherence with the Statement of Work/Performance Work Statement that will be included as a part of the actual solicitation when it is released.
