- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION to remove/replace two gearboxes (pumps #1 and #3) by providing resources and labor for removal (one at a time) ship the gearboxes back to the manufacturer for warranty repair and reinstall these gearboxes at Ice Harbor Dam. 2763 Monument Dr., Burbank, WA 99323. SOL: W912EF-08-Q-0124 ISSUE DATE : 08/18/2008 DUE: 08/27/2008 at 02:00pm Walla Walla Pacific time COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS FOR Repair of broken gear reducers on pumps #1 and #3 at Ice Harbor WA. The Army Corps intends to award a single source award under FAR 13.106-1(b) to Knight Construction Company 28308 N Cedar Road, Deer Park, WA 99006. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement is intended to be a single source award and constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation. No formal solicitation will be issued. This notice incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005 28 effective 12 June 2008. ADMIN INFO: Solicitation is a single source made under FAR Part 13.106-1(b). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 and the small business size standard is $13 million. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). (ii) Bodily injury liability insurance with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence shall be required on the comprehensive form of policy. (iii) Automobile bodily injury and property damage liability with minimum limits of $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury liability; and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage liability shall be required. Statement of Work 1.Scope of Work I.Return the gear reducers for Ice Harbor North Shore Auxiliary Water Supply Pumps #1 and #3 to the manufacturer for warranty repair. II.The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and plant and perform all work necessary to allow for disassembly; shipment to and return from, Lubbock, Texas; reinstallation; and testing of the gear reducers for the two AWS pumps.
