- Description
- The NNSA-SC intends to award a sole-source contract, pursuant to FAR15.002(a), sole source acquisitions, to Technology Ventures, Inc, a small business, for the purchase of equipment warehousing and equipment management services. This acquisition is supported by a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition. These services support the Second Line of Defenses activities worldwide in the interest of U.S. National Security. The proposed contract action is for services for which the United States Government (USG) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one responsible source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(2)(ii)A. The USG has determined through evaluations that the additional shipping, labor, materials, possible replacement costs, and the potential increased risks to the equipment and to the SLD Programs objectives that would be entailed in changing from one contractor to another at this time is too expensive to justify. This is a notice of intent to award sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firms ability to provide the services described above. All interested firms must respond to DE-AC52-08NA28621 by 3:00pm MST, Friday, September 5, 2008 to: Katherine Weber, NNSA Service Center, P.O. Box 5400, Albuquerque NM 87185-5400 or to kweber@doeal.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contracted based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract will be awarded on the basis of the responses received from this notice, since this notice cannot be considered a formal solicitation document. See Note 22.
