Description

RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS & CLARIFICATIONS TO REV. 02 SPECIFICATION DATED 6 AUGUST 1. Paragraph 3.2.1 only addresses installation of the new chamber and all of its components and should not be confused with any other stages of this project. Paragraph 3.2 and Table 1.0 (Delivery Schedule Line Item # 0003) address the demolition of the old chamber and site preparation. Old chamber demolition is anticipated to be completed well before the new chamber's manufacture is complete, weeks before its delivery and installation. As stated in Addendum Section 1. C., any required removal of the old gypsum leveling course and asbestos abatement shall take place after the old chamber has been removed and before any necessary site preparation, in accordance with (IAW) the offeror's detailed control plan. The worst case time frame for this abatement is 14 calendar days. AFPTEF will work closely with the contractor to fit the abatement into their detailed control plan. Addendum Attachment 1 The addendum was added to provide information to ensure that any site preparation or facility modification will meet the requirements of Base Civil Engineering (CE) in order to obtain Base CE final approval. Standard re-connection of the chamber to base utilities require only standard practices. There is nothing, otherwise, in the addendum requiring a response by an offeror.
